Carballo received his Bachelor in Arts and Master in Science degrees from Northwestern University. He received his Medical Doctor's Degree with Honors (Alpha Omega Alpha) from The University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in 1981. He did his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Carballo is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Carballo is Board Certified in the fields of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Dr. Carballo Participates in Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurances.
